Terminal Synergetic Control for Direct Active and Reactive Powers in Asynchronous Generator-Based Dual-Rotor Wind Power Systems

A terminal synergetic control (TSC) is designed in this work for a rotor side converter (RSC) of asynchronous generator (ASG)-based dual-rotor wind power (DRWP) systems. The design based on novel sliding manifold and aims at improving the ASG performance while minimizing active reactive undulations. method its effectiveness were studied under harmonic distortion (THD) current, parameter variations Simulation results, carried out using Matlab software, confirmed system’s robustness against technique was further compared to that integral-proportional (PI) controllers terms variations, undulations THD value current. While both able reduce effects protect circuit over-currents, proposed TSC shown be more effective than classical PI controller tracking effect.
